Our Process
Step 1
Contact us to take advantage of the complimentary personalized services offered by Floors Etc.
- We bring our years of experience combined with the 4-1-1 on the latest products and trends right to you with On-Site Flooring Consultations. During your appointment, we will measure your floors, help you choose the perfect flooring solution for you and answer any questions.
- Or, if you would prefer to come to us, Floors Etc. also offers Personal Showroom Appointments to give you one–on–one time without any interruptions.
Please note, in order to ensure proper measurement, an On-Site Consultation at some point is strongly recommended — we cannot base installations off others’ measurements with the exception of blueprints, etc.
Step 2
You will receive from us by email – within 3 business days – a detailed Proposal for your flooring project.
Our proposal pricing is firm (no ugly surprises on your final bill!) with 3 standard exceptions noted in writing:
Proposal Excludes:
- Furniture and appliance removal and/or replacement, unless provided w/in above proposal.
- Floor prep at $70 per bag of float as required – unless otherwise indicated (to be added to Job Completion Invoice).
- Any general housekeeping and touch-up painting that may be required.
We take great satisfaction in providing solid proposals up front – changing only if directed by our client (through a written Change Order).
Unless otherwise indicated (an unusual exception), our proposals include materials, labor, and State and Local Sales Tax.
Step 3
After you’ve reviewed your proposal and estimate — it’s time to make your final decision.
- If this proposal meets your approval, you will be asked to proceed to Step #4.
- If this proposal does not meet your approval, we hope you will contact us to discuss alternatives.
Step 4
In order to move into scheduling, we respectfully ask that you:
- Please accept your proposal / estimate – instructions will be provided with your emailed proposal.
- Provide a 50% deposit
We accept all major credit cards, ACH debit, and checks / cash. Pay online (preferred), by phone, in person, or by mail.
Step 5
Once proposal / terms & condtions are approved and payment is received, we will work with your calendar to schedule your flooring project at a time most convenient to you.
Step 6
According to your agreed upon project start date:
- Your flooring materials will arrive (possibly early for acclimation purposes).
- Installation / Service will begin.
